The Olympic Games are an international sports festival. They were first held in Olympic, a district in Greece in 776 B.C. There were conflicts among the Greek city states. Then they were held to grow friendship and brotherhood instead of conflicts. We know that in 394 A.D the Roman Emperor stopped the Games. Next, a Frenchman named Baron Pierre De Cubertin revived these Games. This is the real history of the Olympic Games. Now the games are held every four years in a different country. They were held in Greece among the Greek in ancient times. At present they are held as contest not among the Greeks but among the nations of the world. Finally, the games give the citizens of the world a chance of meeting together.
