Television
Television is a wonderful gift of modern science. The word 'tele' means distance and 'vision' means sight. So television means a sight from distance. It is a device of sending pictures as well as voices to the distant places. John Beyard, an English scientist, invented modern television. Television is very useful. It is a modern means of communication. It has made the world smaller. We can enjoy music and songs. It has a great educative value. It teaches us about important topics like science, geography, health etc. It has its own demerits. Many students waste time by watching TV. At times it telecasts false news and views. Thus it misguides the people. However, we cannot think of modern life without it. In fact, television has become part and parcel of our daily life.
